Privacy at Climate Circle 360

Last updated October 18, 2026

Climate Circle 360 runs this community website. This notice explains what information our community features collect, who can see it, and how to contact us about your privacy.

Information you share

  • Membership: your email, sign-in details, display name, avatar, and optional local circle and volunteer preferences. If you use Google or another sign-in provider, we receive the account information needed to sign you in.
  • Community participation: messages, replies, reactions, and organization posts.
  • Requests: the name, email, city, meetup idea, organization details, or other information you submit through our forms.
  • Meal tracking: vegetarian and non-vegetarian meal entries, their dates, and your optional Slack reminder preference.
  • Messages to us: your address and the contents of emails you send to our contact inbox.

What the community can see

Approved channel messages, replies, reactions, local circles, and approved organization information are public. Visitors can preview conversations; website member display names are only provided to signed-in members. Anonymous profile basics, such as avatars and local-circle or volunteer information, may remain visible. Do not post private contact details or sensitive personal information in public conversations.

Pending advocacy posts are visible to their author and the review team until approved. Organization applications and meetup or circle requests are available to the review team; your own organization application and meetup offers may also be available to you.

Individual meal entries are private to the member who logged them. The website displays shared community totals and estimated carbon impact, not a public list of individual meal histories.

How we use information

We use this information to manage accounts, run conversations, review submissions, coordinate meetups and volunteer participation, calculate shared meal-tracking totals, and respond to you. The review team receives email alerts about new submissions. If you choose Slack meal reminders, we use your account email to match your Slack account and send those reminders.

Slack and other services

Approved website messages may be copied into the community’s Slack workspace, with author information. Slack members can see those copies; the website’s name-masking does not make Slack posts anonymous. Slack posts are not copied back to the website. Copies already on Slack may need to be removed separately if you request deletion.

Lovable Cloud provides website hosting, account services, and data storage. Lovable’s email service delivers website emails, and Zoho hosts our contact inbox. Sign-in providers, Slack, and linked services such as Instagram and YouTube handle information under their own privacy policies. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives connection information when they load.

Storage and security

Sign-in uses browser storage to keep your session available. We also use session storage to remember whether you have seen the invitation during your visit. Hosting and service providers may process technical information, such as IP addresses and request logs, to operate and protect the site.

Access rules limit private information to authorized accounts. No online service can guarantee absolute security. We retain information while it is needed for community operations, outstanding requests, security, or legal obligations; deletion requests are reviewed individually, including any records that must be retained.

Your choices

You can choose whether to post, volunteer, use meal tracking, or enable reminders. Set your Slack reminder preference to Off to stop meal reminders. For access, correction, or deletion of your information or account, email us. Removing a website account does not automatically remove information held separately by Slack or another service.

Children’s information

The community is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it as appropriate.
